  Robb Sold us a mortgage for a construction loan. Once signed, he stopped replying to us and the mortgage company did not release ANY money. They added a stipulation that pretty much the entire project be completed before it was release. We had very clear conversations about the amount of work needed before a draw and Robb told us that the only amount needed would be the downpayment and for the work to be completed. We were specifically referred to him because he did this type of loan. We've had 2 real estate lawyers look at it and both agree that the contract does not have this stipulation. After 6 months he wrote a fairly unapologetic email stating he is sorry that we have financial issues. We had put in over $100k of our own capital on top of a $70,000 downpayment. We paid our mortgage payment each and every month and about $10,000 in fees directly to Robb. This has been a HUGE financial burden and almost ruined us. Robb may be nice but buyer beware on the actual outcome.
